Control BDP2 and BP26 with a Tablet
« on: 24 Feb 2016, 04:18 pm »
Hi

My first time posting here.
I am looking to get a tablet to control my BDP2 and my BP26.

I understand there are apps for both android and Ipad for the BDP2, but for the BP26 (just volume I guess) I will need
something that will generate an IR signal.

My reading suggests that the IR blaster has been removed from many modern tablets, so can anyone suggest a route for me to follow.
This is all new to me, so thanks for any suggestions.

You could use one of the many available Wi-Fi to IR hubs, such as the Logitech Harmony Home Hub to relay Wi-Fi commands from a tablet to IR components.
