Field Coil Spkr from old Hammond organs?

I used to buy Hammonds in auctions for $10 loaded in my truck and take them to a friend who scrapped them. Every once on a while there would be field coils. The Hammond organs are open baffle speakers with an electric organ on top. The speakers are basically full range.
Has anybody fooled around with these?
