A pair of classic, vintage, KEF 104/2 Reference speakers in absolutely outstanding condition. The condition of the speakers is at least 8/10 on the Audiogon scale, mostly for age. The condition of the speaker covers/grills are about 7/10. They need a couple of pins repaired, but otherwise they hold nicely. The speakers belong to a friend, but they used to be mine, so I know them well.
This particular set is excellent and includes the optional rosewood cabinet upgrade. The speakers function perfectly with no issues. The woofer surrounds are a rubberized material and show no signs of deterioration. These are beautiful looking and beautiful sounding speakers. An internet search will find loads of information about this KEF model, as they are renowned. Some audiophiles even applaud them for being one of the best vintage speaker designs ever made. Weighing about 70.5 lbs each and measuring 16.5 inches wide by 35.5 inches high by 11 inches deep, the speakers are equipped with two bass units, two midrange units, and one tweeter. This pair is a matched set and has an impedance of 4 Ohms and a sensitivity of 92 dB, so most amps should drive them nicely. You will not find a better set of KEF 104/2 speakers.
