If I were currently looking to buy a power amp in that price range, I would spend just a few dollars more and consider the Primare A30.2 on Audiogon for $750 shipped (or maybe $700 Best Offer?).

I have a slightly used AVA (Van Alstine) Synergy 240 power amp for sale. I bought it directly from AVA (they had used it in house for a few hours). The amp is stable to 4 ohms and is rated 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It is in the "Compact" chassis which makes it easier to install on most shelves.
