Panasonic PT-AE4000U SOLD
« on: 15 Feb 2016, 05:25 pm »
Great condition Panasonic PT-AE4000U, purchased in 2010 from VisualApex, with 771 hours on the lamp, only about five hours were consumed using normal lamp mode for initial testing. Economy mode was (and still is) bright enough in my light controlled room on a 127" diagonal 2.40 constant height screen. Never had any problems with the unit. It was basically a drop in replacement for an AE900, some accessories like the power cord were never used. It has everything that came with it when purchased (remote control, manual, CD, power cord, double boxed & packing materials...note outer box is missing the SN/barcode must have had some sort of promo when I bought it, etc...) except the remote batteries. Was ceiling mounted in smoke free environment the entire time.

$580 plus shipping.

yes I still have it, with the same hours as in the listing, its been sitting in my study boxed up.   Sorry for the delay, but I did not have the thread set to notify me on updates, did not realize that was not the default for the thread creator.

How loud would you say the fan is? Would you offer a return window if there was an issue within 30 days?

I ran the lamp in eco-mode mounted about 5'5" directly above the primary seating, fan noise was negligible to me, and nobody ever commented on it when watching content.   ProjectorCentral has the fan noise listed at 22db in eco-mode.   When running tests in normal lamp mode the fan could be heard in quiet scenes, or when the volume was low/muted..however, it was not to the point of being a distraction to me.   My decision to run the lamp in eco-mode was because of brightness.  Eco-mode provided more than enough brightness in my light controlled setup using a 127" 2.40 scope screen.

With respect to returns, the shipping cost would include insurance, to cover any damage during shipment.  I would not be open to a 30 day try-out/return period though.  Although it is in great working condition, it is does have almost 800 hours of use, and is out of the manufacturer's warranty period.

I am also in Fl,  estimates on UPS and fedex are close to $40, and they claim one business day delivery.

Thanks Ken.  Will let you know via PM when payment is received, and get you the tracking number once the projector gets shipped.
