BenQ also makes a short throw version of the 1075 that can sit closer to the screen. Might help with noise as well as allow a 120" screen. I have no experience with it - just did some reading before buying the 1075.
FWIW, I have preferred the pj behind or above in terms of noise instead of in front. In terms of screen size and brightness...don't forget that your bulb will lose intensity rather quickly and then remain at a specific level for many hours. So you will want to make sure that you have more than enough lumens at the start for a given size.George
Are you thinking this projector isn't bright enough for my application or 120" screen? The projection range according to the manual for a 120" is: 10' minimum, and 13' maximum. This range puts the projector right above, or just in front of my seating position.
I don't know your particular pj (I have an older Epson model). The manual isn't going to tell you how bright the image will be, only what distance (usually a range) the pj needs to be from the screen for a given size.If I recall, projector central has a tool that will show how bright an image will be with a specific pj, at a specific distance, with a specific size.Unless it has changed, this is the best and brightest scenario and I would plan/adjust accordingly.George

OK - I just projected a 120" + picture with my BenQ1075 with lens abt 13' from screen. Should be no problem.
