New Sonicap Platinum, the best caps made.

Any way you want to measure them they outperform any other cap (This was as per the manufacturer).

I have personally auditioned many caps and have yet to hear one that outperforms the new Sonicap Platinum.

These are a unique Teflon composite design that puts them above all others in all sonic aspects, to my ears.

I am excited about these caps and I am excited to now have these in stock and available.

All are rated at 800VDC.

Best of all they are not overpriced. For a cap of this type, they are very reasonably priced.

Sizes and prices are as follows:

.01uF - $16.40 each
.022uF - $17.20 each
.033uF - $18.00 each
.047uF - $18.40 each
.1uF - $19.20 each
.22uF - $28.20 each
.33uF - $31.80 each
.47uF - $44.00 each
1.0uF - $76.40 each

Not stocked but also available are 2.0uF, 3.0uF and 4.0uF.

Hi Danny, Have you tried these new V caps, that Chris makes? If so, what were your impressions? Ray -

I know two that have, including one member here on AC and I have heard their impressions, but I have not tried them myself, so just to stay on top of things I ordered a sample V-cap today.

I wonder why so many manufacturers of audio-quality capacitors are skipping the highly-common-value-in-the-E6-series '15', as in 0.15uF and 1.5uF.  The former is quite common in vacuumtubed poweramps, and not having a 0.15 forces us to use a 0.22 (or combine a 0.1 and a 0.047 for even-more money!), thereby altering the frequency poles the designer chose.

Any reason, Danny?

BTW, your prices are quite low for teflon-film caps and not so much more than those for, eg, TRT DynamiCaps.

(For those of you not familiar with 'E6', 'E12', etc., it's an industry-standard method of getting from 1n to 10n in 6 or 12 (or 24, etc.) steps.  The E6 values are 1, 1.5, 2.2, 3.3, 4.7, and 6.8.  The 12-series adds 1.2, 1.8, 2.6, 3.8, 5.6, and 8.3.)

I don't pick the values the manufacturer makes. I just sell them. But I do know that if you have a need for these values they will be glad to make them for you. Quantities needed for custom values to be made are smaller than you think.

Yea, I don't think the manufacturer is trying to recoup all his development cost in the first run of caps. Prices are based on cost to produce and not a how much can I get for these mentality. If I felt like they were over priced then I wouldn't sell them.
