I am considering an ob subwoofer configuration with either the 8 or 12" GR drivers. I was wondering if temporarily I could use only one 12" woofer in an ob configuration with a A370 plate amp. Later on I can add another. Would that work with the 16 ohm version? What sort of output would I get in a fairly small room 12x11'? Thanks.

You can do that. And I'd recommend the SW-12-08FR. And later you can add another one to it if you like. It might be enough output for that small room depending on how loud you want it to play.

Forgot to mention loudspeakers are 93 db sensitive and would use the high level inputs to sw amp crossed over at 45 to 50 hz leaving speakers full range. So what magnitude of output level range i would have?

keep in mind that you are not matching the output sensitivity of your speakers. You just have to match the output level that you play them at.
