I have a special pair of Onix Reference 3's available.

They are cosmetically damaged but come with Ninja Master level crossovers based on Danny's all new design.

The cabinets are piano black but they were shipped UPS and it appears they dropped them at least 73 times.  Drivers are all fine.  Two binding posts are a little bend.  You can replace or just use as-is.

Danny's network sounds even better than stock Ref 3's + P-1A + SOCS.  They really are fantastic.  I have a full suite of stock and Ninja Master measurements if you would like to see them.

I'm checking for photos now; if I can't find the ones I already took, I'll shoot new.

Retail on these was $4500/pr + $750 for the crossovers.

Make me an offer.  I need them shipped out by February 7.

I should also mention that this is the exact pair that Danny developed the new network design on.  It doesn't get any better than that.

I also found the photos; here is an album...

PM sent. Looks like a candidate for trying my hand at cabinet building.

I lost my balance once and toppled one of the Reference Three's little siblings, the Reference Ones, off it's stand, a three-foot plus drop directly onto it's upper edge.  The fall barely chipped the veneer.  It the cabinets of the Threes are anything like those of the Ones, a little reworking and re-skinning of those cabinets might well do the job.

In any case, those have to be some wonderful-sounding speakers.

Absolutely.  Since the structures are fine, it was my intention to 'recover' the visible parts.  Some 1/4" MDF adhered with 3M 08115 Panel Bonding Adhesive (from the auto repair industry - takes the place of welding!), these will look brand new AND you can paint or veneer as you wish.

These are Sarah's favorite speakers and it is hard to part with them but that is how it goes sometimes.

If anyone has any questions about them at all, feel free to ask.

What veneer do your Ref 1's have?

Ah, that's good.  The high gloss finishes are more brittle by nature.

While it made me a bit sick to have damaged it, I'm fairly amazed at the strength of that cabinet.  The way that it fell, if it weren't extremely sturdy, I would have expected in to have cracked open.  As it was, it chipped and that was all.

I always was interested in the Threes, and these are decked to the nines.  :)  If only I didn't already have too many speakers as it is, I'd certainly be making an offer....
