I just joined and find the site to have a lot of interesting info and discussions. I've been playing instruments since I was about 7 and have been playing flute in jazz groups for the last 30 years.
I got the stereo equipment bug in the late sixties. I got my first "good" system in 1975 when I bought a Yamaha CA1010 integrated and CT1010 tuner, a dual 1249 TT and Genesis speakers. I later upgraded to an Acurus amp and Aragon 18K Mk II preamp.
My main system now consists of an Aragon 8008bb, Audible Illusion M3a, OPPO 95 player and B&W n803 speakers. The same components also power a pair of B&W P6s for my HT.
My second system is an Adcom gfa 5400, Aragon 18K Mk II and Meridian 506-20 cd player with Sound Dynamics 300Ti speakers. Iv'e replaced the internal crossovers in the P6s and 300Tis with DIY outboard xovers. The outboard xovers use silver PTFE coated wire and hi-end caps. coils and resistors. Interconnects and cables on the second system are upocc silver in PTFE tubing.
