Hello , I have recently purchased a pair of Thiel cs7 speakers off Craigslist . They are circa late eighties early nineties . What should be done if anything at this time as far as refreshing these beasts . Thanks, mike.

Somebody who knows much more than I may chime in but I would not begin to fool arounf with the crossover in a Thiel speaker.  If you want to do anything contact the manufacturer and follow their advise.

The easiest upgrade is to replace the electrolytic caps with good quality film caps of the same value.  Then replace the resistors with something like Mills resistors.  Again, use the same values.  If you want more specific advice, post a close up photo of the crossover.
