Speaker Spikes

Hello , I just picked up a vintage pair of Thiel cs7 speakers off Craigslist . I just noticed there is no speaker spikes . There is the metal insert for them . I researched for the size and came up with 5/16 - 18 as the size . Not sure what the -18 is ? Anyone know a good internet dealer for some basic looking black spikes in that size . Thanks, mike.

18 is the thread pitch.  Threads/inch.  Think of coarse thread vs fine thread and you will get the idea.

Most inexpensive spikes will be 1/4x20.  They are easy to find.  I find this site useful for less popular sizes. They have several in your size but I am not sure if they meet your price requirement.

Good luck

Yes, but do the carry 5/16 x 18?  Everybody has 1/4 x 20.

My link and Mike's were for harder to find sizes.
