I'm looking for ideas for a stand/rack to help separate audio and power cables behind the TV. I have about 24"L x 15"H x 8"D space to work with. What I envision is a wooden stand with two shelves. One shelf will have a PI Audio BussStop with all the power cables. The other shelf will have speaker cables and interconnects. Bonus if there are 3 or more shelves. Something like this but smaller scale:

First I must ask why use a shelf?   That would be handy for laying coils of cables or my thoughts at least.   I wanted to arrange or ROUTE mine and I came up with dowel rods about 4-6 inches long.

I in essence made some short hall tree's from some scrap 1X2.  Here is a pic of a notch I tried and decided to replace notch with the dowels.

I have a five foot long rack with five stands behind.   All power is on the lowest and 90 deg crossing with as lard a air gap as I could get

All IC's or any cable is on its own hanger no dual nesting.   

And I must say I gained several hundred dollars of clarity from the rat nest I had prior.

It does not have to be a shelf. Your idea here is a good one and I'll look into for sure. Do you happen to have a pic of the stands with the wires on them? Thanks for this.

I like the notches because you can switch things on the fly, but on the other hand zip ties are pretty cheap.

I am thinking of a rebuild as that was the first try of a 10 min DIY before the beer got hot

I will reverse the setup or do a dual side hanger.  And for that I need to change the base for balance.  I also want to run a horizontal bar or two with notches so the cables could almost "S" via three notches  

Any way it is about time to pull it all apart and clean cable ends and see what can happen
