So I have zero interest in Tidal ever since a bunch of celebs went all self-impotant with their "we're saving music" nonsense. Just couldnt stomach Jay-z and others spewing all that crap. I have a nice sized music library but have been hoping another service would emerge that offered lossless quality. I was searching online for a good deal on a 2nd Sonos Connect for my other rig, and I saw that they had exclusive rights for the "elite" plan of the Deezer streaming service.
Had no idea what a Deezer was but apparently its huge in Europe and other places and is making its way to the US. They offer over 35 million tracks in lossless quality, and if you have a Sonus rig you get a free month to try it out, and then pay only $9.99 a month for the next 12 months. Thats half the cost of Tidal.
I signed up last night and so far its everything they promised. Massive library, found every artist I searched for, lightning quick navigation, no buffering, etc. Integrates effortlessly with sonus and pretty much is the perfect complement to my own music library.
Anyway, maybe you guys already know about this service and Im the one who was in the dark, I dunno...but Im thrilled I came across this last night.
Happy Listening!
