David Bowie died two days after his 69th birthday

On Friday, his 69th birthday, he released his 25th album - his parting gift to the world. Yesterday, he departed, peacefully.

On the swim team in high school in the 80's, the lifeguard often played Bowie over the system in the early AM practices.

There are a bunch of his songs that I really enjoy to this day.

Sad news indeed.  While I had planned to pick-up anyway, his new release is getting great reviews.

Sigh! :(

One of my all time favorite songs is "Heroes" and the way he sang it with acoustic guitar at the Bridge School Concert years ago. I will have to play that album tonight.
