I can personally recommend two brick and mortar shops near me.

AudibleArts and the Analog Room, both in San Jose CA

both have a web presence

http://www.audiblearts.com

http://www.theanalogroom.com

The people at both are friendly, knowledgeable and not just out to sell their stuff.

Second for Audio Nexus in Summit, NJ.  Audio Connection is nice as well (great back-building listening rooms!), but AN just goes a bit further in terms of customer service.

This certainly isn't an american site!  :nono:

I nominate Studio Wilbert in Utrecht/the Netherlands although I have to confess never actually buying anything from them.

That's it for brick and mortar dealers.

Have a good weekend

I highly recommend Boulevard Audio in Northern Virginia (boulevardaudio.com).  Lynn, the owner, is a great guy with a real passion for audio and commitment to his customers.   Mostly doing custom HTs and integrated systems right now, but his love is two-channel set ups.

Holm Audio in Chicago.  Very nice guys with a very low pressure approach to audio.  They also are very cool about letting you take things home to demo.  Located in western suburbs of Chi-town, I think it's Downers Grove on 75th street just east of 355.

I've been very happy with Hollywood Sound in Florida--a brick and mortar that also sells via internet or Audiogon.  All the gear I've gotten from Upscale Audio over the internet has been great too and his prices on second-hand gear weren't that much higher than going through eBay/Audiogon gamble.

As a mfr. looking for a select few GOOD and HONEST dealers that WILL NOT sell on the internet, I am reading this with interest.

I am already doing business with Audible Arts in San Jose and can definitely say that Jeff is a gentleman and honest businessman.

Any suggestions for similar East Coast dealers?

Thanks,

Dan W.
