Looking good Happy Holidays!Don P.
Have you ever thought about relocating to Oregon?
Ryan, the room is starting to look very good, I like the look of your set up as well as the speakers, whose diffuser did you use behind the system rack?Phil
The pillars look fantastic Ryan! Maybe you'll inspire others with similar ideas. And I have no doubt they're effective as well, being such a large volume of absorptive material.Next, Ryan and I have a plan to treat the wall behind the speakers. I'm going to cut a digital diffuser pattern into 1/2" veneered ply using the CNC, something to closely match his speakers. (Other) Ryan will then cut out the drywall behind his speakers, fill the cavity with some like OC705 or Roxul, and then place the veneered digital diffuser into the cutout. Frame around the panel with moulding, and he'll have a VERY effective diffuser/broad-band absorber covering nearly the full wall. Combined with the nice large dimensions of his room, the results should be fantastic.
Hey Phil! Thanks! What's new?
Hey Phil,Read the thread man!
""Hi Phil, thanks for the kind words. I finally have a room that just feels nice to be in. Those are GIK Acoustics Q7D panels. They are nice - somewhat heavy, but well made for the price. Then might have some that come unfinished now, which opens up other possibilities.""
