Sold: Promitheus Audio gain stage / tube buffer

I am the original owner. Purchased this gain stage / tube
buffer new in 2007 and it was delivered in 2008. Used in a
smoke, pet and child free house. Selling this and the rest
of my tube equipment and slowly transitioning to a high
end AV pre/pro with all class D amplification for both music
and home theater ...and then calling it good.

* The gain stage adds 6 db of gain to the signal and is nonadjustable.
* The tube buffer provides impedence matching between a source / preamp and
   the power amplifier.
* The tube buffer will add a 'tubey' warmth and fullness to the sound signal.

It features silver wiring in the signal path, a choke input power supply
and NOS Allen Bradley carbon composition resistors. The unit has RCA
inputs x 1, RCA outputs x 2, XLR outputs x 1. The unit has pure silver
RCA single ended and Neutrik XLR connectors. Please note the tarnish
(blackened areas) on the silver RCA connectors. I had the option of
removing the tarnish with silver polish but decided to leave it in place.

The 2 pieces are finished in Merbau hardwood with a top and bottom
made of 1.5 mm stainless steel plates. The power supply box measures
5"W x 6"H x 7.5"L (add 2" to height for U50 tube usage). The gain / buffer
box measures 6"H x 7.5"L x 11"W. The 'umbilical cord' connecting the
power supply to the main box is 1 meter in length.

Included are the Promitheus Audio gain stage / tube buffer with
seperate power supply. It's umbilical cord. The owner's manual.
The original tubes: 6N1P x2 and RCA 5Y3GT (black plate) x1. Also
included are a Marconi U50 ST x 1 and Bendix Red Bank 6106 x 2.
So you'll be able to enjoy some high quality tube 'rolling to help tailor
the sound to your listening preferences :)  Some of you may recall
that I was selling Bendix Red Bank tubes a few years back.

One of the best features of Promitheus Audio is that they wind
all their own transformers in-house, giving them a lot of quality
control and flexibilty with their products.

The price is Sold$350.00 USD. Plus the actual shipping charges, insurance
and signature confirmation of delivery fee. Payment may be made by USPS
money order or PayPal (plus PayPal fees, if applicable) 'Personal Checks'
are accepted, but item will not ship until the check clears at the bank. I will
ship via USPS or FedEx only. Please use the information and links below to
give an accurate estimate of the total cost.

If you would like to purchase or have questions, please send me a PM.
For feedback on me as a seller / buyer ...please do a search using the
terms 'For Sale', 'FS' and 'Sold' with the username 'Oscillate' on all the
Trading Post subforums.

The original factory shipping box was a one-off cardboard box stuffed
with styrofoam peanuts. It was discarded long ago. Instead all the items
have been wrapped in celophane and then rolled up in multiple layers of
heavy duty bubble wrap. Then placed (and padded) into a new, tightly
sealed Roughneck 10 Gal. Storage Tote. The gain stage / tube buffer is
practically suspeneded in a cushion of air. I take packaging seriously
...It will survive the parcel courier gorilla test.

Parcel ships from zipcode: 43082
Parcel weight: 23 lbs. 4 oz.
Parcel dimensions: 9" x 16" x 24"
FedEx
USPS

* Please note the small peice of white fluff visible on the middle back aspect
of the left-most transformer in the photos of the back sides of the units. That
is from a cotton ball that I had used to clean the units ...and didn't notice it had
snagged there.

...Thanks for looking :)

I purchased this item and it was in great shape-very well packed and a rare item.  Oscillate was a joy to deal with-a real pro.  A+.  Send me an Email if you have any questions.
