Celestion SL600si Speakers

Celestion's monitors are pretty well discussed in the audio rags.
The 700 and 600si in particular has received the lion's share of positive commentary.  They come from a solid line of models which preceded them ( the SL6, SL6si, SL600) and have been succeeded by the Celestion 100 and Celestion 300 transmission line.

The 600, 600si and 700's have the Aerolam Enclosure - which is lightweight and rigid but a bit less forgiving to bumps and bruises. These are in Great condition despite a blem here and there.

A high quality amp with good clean output is the key to getting them to perform at their peak. . - These are for the person who appreciates and wants detail and imaging - they will NOT play the lower end of the frequency spectrum as well as the highly sought after Chartwell ls3/5a for $2-3K. but they play as well as the $2k Acoustic Energy AE1 in the soundstage department. a Sub is a 50/50 "option" depending on your music taste. I've been running them off an on with a Final Sound S200 sub

SOLD!!!   shipping within the Contiguous USA

This is probably the most 1980's speaker you will ever come across.

Nice I used to have a pair, they really just disappear with a good amp,
very tempted

For about $400 less than a used pair of KEF LS50's   you get a speaker that sounds like it's $500 more than a new "retail priced" pair of  LS50.   and stands toe to to with the legendary ( for whatever reason) LS3/5a  although admittedly I liked the sound of the Chartwell LS3/5a  but adding a sub to the SL600si, get the low end beefed up and still left a sizeable chunk of cash left over for other system investments.

In staying true to all the great sound these provided..  a set of SL700's are going to hold down the 600si  duties once they find a new home.
