hey, i am hifitommy and i belong to the LA/OCAS (LA/Orange County Audio Society). i can get on your nerves but then i am experienced at that. i also have been an addict to this hobby for about 45 years. i am always looking to help someone and likewise am looking to be helped along on my quest for audio authenticity.
i don't have a high horse to ride but have had rides on one. hp of tas was one who actually DESERVED to ride his horse. he was nearly ALWAYS right. robert harley, in harry's place, has a different approach, he just usually seems to be right on with his opinions and descriptions of sound.
i will describe the best kind of reviewer as an observationist as opposed to subjectiviist or objectrivist. it is very much a science and that's what we are doing, practicing the science of sound reproduction within our budget. i LOVE to play with someone else's budget though.
i don't hesitate to criticize nor get hurt when criticized unless i am wrongly so. if we disagree, we can come to an accord or agree to disagree. semantics many times gets in the way.
