Power Amp (A-6038) - i have never seen any power amp with 4x el34 and 1x 845... :o

and a single 845 can hardly deliver 38 W...  - seems like some kind of PP el 34 design (but that's normally for a stereo integrated amp and this is a mono end amp...), and i don't understand the use of that 845...

any ideas on this design?

Tube-vds,

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm looking at the handout sheet the business manager gave me last week. This is what it says:

Tubes: 845x1, EL34x1, 6922EHX2 (6DJ8)

I'll check for other discrepancies.

In all my years in Asia I have seen so many mis-translated, misspelled, mis-typed, mis-imagined, and mis-guessed advertisements, company brochures, products reports, T-shirts, government reports, etc. that nothing surprises me anymore. Mis-imagined is someone thinks of a catchy word or phrase in their language and decides it will be even cooler in English. The only problem with that is that it makes little or no sense in English, but that doesn't stop them from having 10,000 shirts made with the phrase splashed  across the front.

Because of this it is not surprising to me that there are inconsistencies in the website. It's quite possible the correct information was given to the person in charge of entering data into the website, but that person's English really isn't very good, so a little mistake here and there LOOKS the same to him or her. I'll pass this along.

So here's a partial answer to the above power question. 38 watts is maximum output and 18 watts is rms output. The transformer powering it is rated 1300 volts.

Seems these trafos are 1300V peak also.
Unfortunately power transformers are rated in Watts or VA(VoltsXAmps).
A 1300V transformer means nothing about its size and power, as they may mean the transformer delivery 1300V just for some mili-seconds.

Hi, FRM.

I'm afraid the guy sending me information is not an engineer, nor am I.

I may stop offering notes until I can make sure I'm not providing poor or erroneous information.

Here are four inside shots of the A3050 preamplifier.

Anything interesting in there?

Mresseguie,
Sorry my criticism, I believe these info they have posted are a different way to see the part specification.
As miles per hour, km per hour, meters per hour.
Please continue post on the subject.

FRM,

No worries. If no one criticizes or points out errors, I won't know. I encourage you to show me problems, so I can correct them. There's a fair amount of information at my fingertips, but it's all in Mandarin discussing a fairly technical subject. I need a little time to make sure I understand it before typing it up here. All previous info was supplied to me and I simply cut and pasted to here.

I'm getting there.... :thumb:
