Wow!! The wife and I just finished the first and only season. It was a fantastic series!

I really liked Danny's character.  Without him, the show would have just been pretty and slow.  I did like the concept of displaying the story through dreams, memories, flashbacks, etc. But it also made the story a bit slow to follow unless you were binging it.

I agree it was a slow burn, but once it got going, I was pretty invested. I've become a big fan of Ben Mendelsohn (Danny) since that show...what a great actor. I kept waiting for Kyle Chandler to head over to the school to get the team ready for a game, though. (Friday Night Lights reference for those not familiar with the show.)
