Selling my main speaker gear- Tweaked Gedlee Abbeys(the speaker box got additional internal bracing) and crossover in an external box. I paid over a grand to make the speaker boxes more stiff and cross-overs in separate box with hardwired speaker cable- you can change that. I have this pair and center channel (which has different crossover) for sale as well. This can be a DIYer's delight since you can refinish them and also tweak crossover component or cables to your liking. I would rate 6/10 from finish perspective and you can get it to 9/10 or 10/10 if you spend time with auto rubbing/polishing compound.
These speakers have been eye opening (or should I say ear opening?

) around Earl Geddes's speaker/audio principles on constant directivity and use of waveguides.
The Abbey has a 12" High Performance 12TBX100 B&C woofer and a 12" waveguide and the same 1" compression driver as the Summa (DE250 B&C). The retail for assembled with piano black finish was $6K+shipping. I am asking for the pair $3400+s/h. Paypal cash/gift or cash/check deposit to your nearest BofA.
Drivers: B&C 12TBX100 & DE250-8
Sensitivity: 95 dB / 2.83 volt / 1 m (0 dB on the curves below)
Impedance: 8 Ohms above 100 Hz
So to your next question why am I selling them- I usually dabble with multiple gear-in this case I am moving up to the Summa line up and have to sell Abbeys to fund upgrades. If I had additional room like before, I would have kept them.
These speakers will ship by freight.
