Yes, Ash is back and he is just as good as he was in the original 1981 Evil Dead movie.
Ash vs. Evil Dead is the perfect mix of horror and comedy starring Bruce Campbell, written and directed by Sam Raimi the series looks like it is going to a lot of bloody fun.

But before you start the series watch the Evil Dead trilogy, also starring Bruce Campbell and directed by Sam Raimi - just leave the lights on.

The Evil Dead trilogy is classic ; So many great one-liners.
I've DVR'd the first episode of the new series. Haven't had a chance to watch yet, but looking forward to it.

I loved the first episode! :thumb:  Bruce is the man, for sure!  It was funny and also eerie.  The entire cast is superb so far. I can't wait for the next one.

Starz

From Wikipedia: "On interviews, Campbell said Starz channel was the only network that would give them the ability to be unrated and unrestricted; Campbell has stated that Starz does not require the crew to create alternate, "wimpy" versions for television."

Always felt that Ash was somewhat sassy/naughty but in the series premiere, my thoughts were reconfirmed.  The gore level in the new series has been XLarged.  All in all, it is fun.  Too bad that it has taken decades to get a remake going.
