The NS-1000MM (note the two M's) seen here is the replica version. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-NS-1000MM-3Way-Speaker-Z101420-A-B-With-bracket-From-Japan-/282172527244?hash=item41b2cb128c:g:dykAAOSw65FXrolNNote the size "Dimensions (width × height × depth) : 150W×275H×180Dmm". For us Imperial units users that is 5.9 x 10.8 x 7.1 inches. Not all the units listed on EBay include the dimensions, buyer beware.
DIY stands for 1000 and maybe 5000.http://liquidaudio.com.au/diy-yamaha-ns1000m-speaker-stands/There is a lot of 1000's on Craiglist but not as cheap, use searchtempest. There were boatloads of the 1000's sold all over the world. Thanks Norman and Russell for the info.I saw a blurb that JBL is bringing out updated Century 100's again. I worked at a salon in the 70's and we sold a lot of the 100's.
OzarkTom, Keep on looking on Craigslist. I bought mine last year for $1100 a pair. They are really heavy and substantial. You need two people to lift them. Some mild scratches on the cabinets but the drivers were in perfect shape except for a few dents in the wire mesh covers on the tweeters and mids. Thanks goodness the covers are over these drivers, they must be fragile.
Wow hard to believe. This is alot of money for a mass made loudspeaker, its not $825?
