I don't know about angry lying, but results, whatever they might be, will be easily misinterpreted. The original tape is being mastered on one side in analog (AAA), and digital (ADA) on the other. This is like a record Wilson made years ago. I think results will be entirely dependent on either side, by the quality of the mastering, and not necessarily reflect A vs. D SQ.
Many early digital recordings had better SQ when played as a record (DDD vs. DDA). There could be a number of reasons for this like better analog equipment. I think it would be a mistake to draw sweeping conclusions here, but that's what we're likely to see.
