Have been to audio for decades. Grew up with Hafler kit amp, preamp, Carver TX tuner, CJ Walker Turntable.
Recently have upgraded to
Rotel 5.1 1095 amp (200 wpc)
Rotel 1069 5.1 pre-processor.
4 B&W 804N speakers with matching center channel
REL R505 Sub bass
Pro-Ject Xtension 9 Evolution turntable with Sumiko BPS Evo III (low output)
Pro-Ject Tube box S phono stage
Oppo 105 universal player
Old Denon DRS 810 three head cassette (for sentimental reasons)
cheap Yamaha FM tuner T-S500
nice Pioneer 5010FD plasma display.
Equipment in two Salamander Synergy cabinets. One 3 bay (hip high) for most everything and TV stand.
Second separate cabinet is 402, single bay (belly button height) is for turntable, phono amp and LP's
All this connected with Audioquest cables (Perfect Surface Copper + cables throughout system). PSC+ interconnects, PSC+ tonearm cable, PSC+ Rocket 88 speaker cables.
I listen to classical, jazz, some rock and roll, blues.
Favorite artists include: Prokofief, Mahler, Gershwinn and actually all the classical masters.
Miles, Coltrane, Bill Evans, Vince Guiraldi, Chet Baker, Keith Jarrett, Chris Botti
Santana, Boz Skaggs, Steve Winwood, Clapton, lots of Van Morrison.
Favorite vocalists, Lady Day, Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Carmen MacRae, Diana Krahl.
