upgradeitis: AR6-TSSD and a better DAC (any partial trade for the PS Audio DSD or Bricasti M1 or Lampi L4 or higher with volume control would be considered).
So the question begs: why Audience adeptResponse? In my systems (3 down from 4), I have 3 dedicated 20A lines and tried both active and passive power conditioning over a protracted period of time (yes, they still make a difference on dedicated lines).
1. Audience adept Response are passive, using filters, caps and some models have shielding and dampening materials. No restriction in dynamics, no restriction in current drawn. YMMV
2. Ground bar. We see many manufacturers coming up with ground boxes, some as expensive as $4k to improve the sound (lower background noise, better dynamics, etc). Audience has it since 2008 in their adeptResponse power conditioners AR6 and AR12 series so all the hooked up devices have star grounding.
3. Individual filtering per socket. Most power conditioners -both active and passive models- have no separation (some have at socket pair level) at all which means dirty power from one device affects another which simply does not make sense unless you plug in only one device.
Just search for images online on inside of the units (I have all of passive ones and a good deal of active ones). What you see is what you get!
