Sad News - Gary Gore AKA TNRabbit
« on: 24 Oct 2015, 08:13 pm »
I just found out that Gary was killed in a motorcycle accident.
Gary didn't post here very often so may be an unfamiliar name to a lot of the people on AC but he was real active on Carver Audio and thecarversite! so I knew him pretty well.
I met him in person at a CarverFest down in the Smokey Mountains many years ago and a few years later he was kind enough to pick up an Otari reel to reel for me at a later CarverFest and lug it back to his house in Maryland so I could run down and get it.  He also ran over to the Washington, DC area to get a Carver tuner off of Craigslist and then mailed it to me.
He loved his Carver Amazing speakers and his Sunfire gear and he was a great guy.  He was just one of those people you couldn't help but like due to his generous, easy going nature and his sense of humor.
He will be missed.

Anyone owns a Carver Amazing is a refined audiophile.

I did not know Gary, but if he rode motorcycles, he died doing what he loved to do.

RIP Gary.

Very sad news indeed. I did not know Gary either, but sounds like a really good guy...RIP Gary.

I think this might be a good opportunity to remind our own Steve Ford to BE CAREFUL out there when he's riding around on his bike...

I rode for about 14 years, had 32 bikes in that time, and still love to,hear and see bikes.  I don't own one myself anymore.

Sorry to her about your friend Steve.

I also dont have bike anymore due security reasons.
There is too many cars on the streets now than in the 70s,
some bikers and delivery guys have unsafe tendencies.
Though yet love big V2 or F2 bikes.

I ride every day and try to be careful (although I do have a heavy throttle hand at times).  Vroom vroom!
I thought of Gary this morning when I was out on the Purple Nurple for an early morning blast to shake the cobwebs out.
Every year it seems to get more dangerous for which I blame cell phones.  People don't realize that they're piloting a several thousand pound weapon when they're happily sending their text messages while they're eating an Egg McMuffin.
Oh well, he went out doing what he liked which beats being stuck in a nursing home so there's that to be thankful for.
For you motorcycle scum out there, keep your eyes open for deer, wet leaves and cars and keep the rubber side down!

Sad to hear. I remember his stuff from the Carver forum.

No scooters left in my barn these days.

Ride on TNRabbit.
