I’m new to this forum, but not new to hi-fi audio addiction. I’ve been living happily with my Klipschorns for the past 15 years. I’m reaching retirement age and in the process of downsizing, so I’ve reached the sad point of needing to part with my K-horns. As a result, I’ve spent the past 6 months searching for their replacements. My search has ended (hopefully) in a place that wasn’t even on my radar when I began – the Spatial Audio M3s. The search began with the Maggie 1.7s, took me through the Zu’s, Def Teks, B&Ws, and many others. It ultimately resulted in a 9 hour drive (one-way) to RMAF to listen to most of the contenders in one place. In the end, it came down to a decision between the Goldenear Triton 2s and the Spatials. They are both incredible speakers, but sound very different from each other.
My M3s will be arriving next week. I’m anxious to give them a thorough workout, as well as compare them side-by-side with my K-horns (which will be leaving me in about two weeks). I’ll post an update after I’ve had some time with them to let everyone know what I’ve learned.
