SOLD: Woo Audio 300B Monoblocks with matching Preamp

Up for sale is my Woo Audio WA-2 Preamp and MB300B Monoblocks.  The monoblocks were custom made by Jack at my request and are based on the WA-5 chassis.  The monoblocks have V-Cap coupling capacitors.  They were fitted with a new slate of tubes about 10 months ago, which include Sophia Princess 300B and 274B meshplates, and Tung Sol 6SN7s.  Also included is an assortment of NOS 6SN7s, a pair of unused Sovtek 5U4G rectifier tubes, a pair of unused Shuguang 300Bs, and a brand new Sophia Princess 300B meshplate tube.

The WA-2 includes a pair of Tung Sol 7236 power tubes, a pair of NOS Amperex Bugle Boy 6DJ8 drive tubes, and a pair of NOS RCA 6X4 rectifiers.  Also included are several NOS 6DJ8s, 6X4s, and a pair of Tung Sol 5998 power tubes.

This gear is all handmade and point-to-point wired.  You aren't likely to find a sweeter sounding 10wpc of pure Class A power at this price.

The monoblocks will be shipped in their original wooden crates.  Shipping weight for the amps is 80lbs.  Shipping weight for the preamp is 35lbs.  Buyer to pay all shipping costs.












Everything is in beautiful condition.  Asking price is $3,100 or best reasonable offer.  Lowball offers will be met with silence.

UPDATE: The Amps were sold on eBay.

Update: The Woo Audio WA-2 Preamp has been sold on Audiogon and is no longer available.

Asking price for the monoblocks is $2,500 or best reasonable offer.

To all,

I have received a number of PMs asking if the monoblocks are headphone amps.  I think some people who are familiar with the Woo Audio WA-5 (which is a stereo headphone/speaker amp) are confusing these monoblocks for the WA-5.  What is for sale here are monoblock amplifiers and they are meant to drive loudspeakers, not headphones.  You will also need a preamp or source device with a built-in preamp and volume control to use these monoblocks.

Price reduced.  $2,300 + shipping or best reasonable offer.
