Soundgarden in Fells Point. No doubt the best used/new record store in Baltimore!

Going through Baltimore two weeks ago I decided on Trax on Wax in Catonsville as the store I would check out. This is in the Baltimore suburbs and I was on my way to Philadelphia so It seemed like a good choice for used lp's. First thing I have to say is that the bins are stuffed to the gills and it is a pain to browse, you have to take out records to look through the bins, this adds lots of wasted time to the search, but looking at the stock I decided it was worth a shot.Records,records,records,everywhere.Lots of stuff on the floor and the scent of incense wafting in the air...I think I am getting a contact high......First,everything appears to be priced ten dollars and on up.The condition swings wildly from vg++ to put me in a pile and burn me....ten dollars...? Oh well, lets get the browse on...Jazz section ...OK..actually found a few nice records (BlueNote/Riverside) and a few odd ball Jpn imports.Blues and Bluegrass on the floor...Blues,so so,Bluegrass nice stuff beat to hell,in better shape I would have spent two hundred bucks right there, but I did find the Scotty Stoneman on Design. If you don't know him he is the fiddler known to some as the "Jimi Hendrix of Blugrass violin"...still trying to figure that one out...This record showed some wear...5.00 I gotta say it cleaned up nicely.Big find in the "International" music boxes under one bin....Great Indian classical records from the 70's all mint on major labels manufactured in India...5.00 each.A quick browse through the Rock (extensive) Soul (beat to hell) I gotta get out of this place.I would like to spent half a day going through these records.Gonna be some gems hidden in here! Nice clean bathroom for the patient wife who "knows every parking lot of every record store in America".We appreciate the patience, don't we...... Plus we are moving on to Philly,Nashville,Knoxville,Memphis and Little Rock.Best store of all in Little Rock....who would have guessed!

And you will find Crack the Sky records because Baltimore adopted them.
Highly, highly recommended.
