VMPS in Kuwait... Foamless in the desert

VMPS in Kuwait... Foamless in the desert

Hi there. Just registered. Recently moved to Kuwait, was finally reconnected with my audio gear including my VMPS larger subwoofer. Sadly, it seems that the 15" PR needs replacing, as the foam surround basically turned to dust whilst in the container during the long voyage from the USA.

given VMPS' demise I'm hoping parts are still available. Losing my larger, which I've had since 2000, would be a horrible loss.

Welcome to Audio Circle.  I'm sure you can save your VMPS.  May take a while to resolve the problem, but keep trying as those speakers are classics.

One place that will refoam the cones is Parts-Express in the US.  A few companies on line offer DIY refoam kits as well.
