Miller and Kreisel S1-b
« on: 25 Sep 2015, 08:03 am »
Hi guys,

I am a veteran in the audiofile arena. I previously own quad esl 63 electrostatics with quad amplification and a Linn Itok Asak gramophone .
I wonder whether any of you can provide me with the technical specs of Miller and Kreisel S1-b which I own.

They have been with me since 1990 and I have not used them for a long while.

I am interested in the exact specs in order not to blow them using a modern amp.

Cheers,
Avi

Welcome to AudioCircle.

Just hang out and keep reading this thread.
The designer for these (Ken Kreisel ) just joined AudioCircle recently so you should be hearing from him shortly.
In the mean time grab a drink and read up on them here:

Or you could do a search for his name and send him a PM.

How loud do you typically listen? And what type of amp do you have?

I did own the S1b for a while and they are very nice. They begin to roll off around 70 Hz so you may wish to consider some bass augmentation. As for power handling, impedance and their exact sensitivity, I don't recall, but they are very easy to drive.

With a little help from Google...   http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=350797
