Assembly is hooking up the drivers and attaching to baffle.  If you don't want the amp - deduct 40 bucks.  Driver specs are available under Fostex. 
For nearfield listening I like flat on-axis response.  Mate a set of these to a sub or use as surround.  I imagine it would be hard to beat this deal.
