Bought these drivers, as closest substitutes I could find...to fill-in a pair of built and routed, genuine PMC FACT 3 cabinets.
The P13WH-00-08s were a real b-i-t-c-h to find. L O N G since, discontinued in the States; I exhausted every shop I could find, for a pair..."just laying around", and ultimately ended up having to have them shipped from Down Under. (The SEAS tweeters are from Madisound...lol). My understanding, is that in the day...these P13 drivers; were a real fav, among the DIY crowd.
One set (2 mid-bass drivers and a tweeter)...has seen very, very little use; while my cross-over designer worked on a circuit for me. The other pair, has seen no use whatsoever.
Why sell? I had the unique opportunities, to first...buy a set (2 mid-bass drivers and the tweeter) of genuine FACT drivers; and then...a single FACT 8 speaker (which has the exact driver compliment, in a different, floor-standing cabinet). So...I'll be using those for my build, and the original drivers can go to a good home (oh also...if it's of any interest, to you DIY nuts out there; after I'm finished pulling the drivers out of it...it also means I'll have a genuine PMC FACT 8 cabinet, with very, very sophisticated cross-over to move. When I was spec-ing out this build...I actually contacted Sound Org, about buying a pair of genuine cross-overs. LOL...$5,000/pair; just for the cross-overs! Highway robbery, to be sure; but FWIW...my cross-over designer, who is a known and well-respected commodity in the DIY community...said he has NEVER seen anything like it!).
