I am putting up for sale my Bill Woods AH300 wooden horns. These horns have an 18 inch mouth and a 2 inch cast aluminum, powder coated throat. They are made of twelve 1 inch thick cherry wood "petals". Included with these horns you will receive a pair of B&C DCX 50mm coaxial compression drivers. Also included are a pair of RCF L-15P530 bass drivers recommended by Bill Woods. And best of all, you will also receive the custom designed passive crossover networks the Bill created for me and Yorkville Sound hand built. All that is missing from this picture are the bass cabinets and a way to mount the horns on top of them. I have been using the cabinets from a vintage pair of JBL L-200 for my woofers and that works well and sounds great. I can provide you with the inside dimensions and design specifics that Bill sent me along with the products.
Bill Woods is one of the world's foremost horn designers but is no longer permitted to sell or discuss any speaker product of any kind, having been put under an airtight exclusive contract with Oswald's Mill. Bill is the designer behind their AC-1 loudspeaker which many of you raved about after RMAF a few years back. He has told me that this design he sold me closely approximates the AC-1, which, last I knew, was selling at $65,000 per pair.
