If you like tube sound and have efficient speakers, this pair of amplifiers will delight you. I used them for about a year until one day the right one started acting up. I called Vlad, the guy who designed them, and told him of the problem. He told me to ship it to him, which I did. A week later he called to tell me I'd better send him the other one. He continued the cap upgrade done by the original owner was very sloppy so he was sure that both needed his attention. Long story short, when they came back I never reinstalled them. While they were on injured reserve a new starter emerged. I did take them to a friend's house about 5 years ago to try in his system for a half an hour or so. Otherwise they have been boxed on a shelf in my garage.
Tomorrow I will take delivery of a 5K Retina iMac and next month I will take delivery of an unusually large VISA bill. I need to clean house around here and not sweat the prices too much. It's time to just get rid of everything I'm not using. I have a couple of speaker management devices from dbx and XTA. Also have a pair of NCore 400 monos and a Yamaha A-S2000 silver.
