I know the Prodigy is twice as much as the RM 40.  If one could get the Prodigy's for about the same price as the RM 40 which one would you choose and why?

I'd get the 40's.  I like stats in some areas, but the beaming is very much an issue, and placement of the 40's is sooo much easier, since it's not a bipole, and also has user adjustments to "fit" it to a room.  After having adjustable speakers, I'll never go back. . .
