Help me identify input tubes
« on: 16 Aug 2015, 10:11 pm »
Found these red base 5692 tubes at an estate sale.  Does anyone know what kind of tubes they are and about what they're worth.  I'm thinking RCA, but I can't see anything written on them other than "USA 5692 11x".

If you Google search "5692 black plate", the internal structure looks pretty identical across several brands including CBS, GE, RCA, and Sylvania. I'm not tube expert so hopefully some one more knowledgeable can chime in.

Looks like the sell for about $95 a tube retail:

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.
