For Sale:
Thoeress 845 SET monoblock amps.  Amps are 1 year old and purchased from US authorized dealer.  Have approximately 200-300 hours in the last year.  Cosmetically perfect.  Comes with one set of used Shuguang 845 tubes, one set of new Shuguang 845B tubes, two pair of used Telefunken EL803 driver tubes, 4 pair of NOS Telefunken EL803 tubes (selected/matched by Reinhard). 

Each amp will ship separately in a factory shipping box measuring 35x18x16" and weighing 50lbs.

Tube will ship in separate box measuring 17x16x11" weighing 10lbs.

Not enough good things can be said about this amps.  If you are looking, you know what I mean.  Each amp is hand made by Reinhard including hand wound transformers.  Very rare on the second hand market (can't find a google reference of any prior US ads).

These where my first step in to the world of SET amps, unfortunately I have falling further into the abbess and have been bitten by the 45 SET bug.  Only selling amps to fund a much more expensive set of 45 monoblocks.

Does sound quite heavenly!   I have been toiling over this decision for months now.  The Aristotles at 96dB really sing and have tremendous punch/full sound with the Thoress 845s.  I will be giving up a good portion of the punch/full sound in the short term but this is a long game move.  Will be moving into 45 SET monoblocks, then 2-3 years Horning Eufrodite.  The current version is 101 dB sensivity and sing with 45 SETs.  Has nothing to do with the Thoress amps not performing just a different flavor  (if you look carefully in one pic you can see my Thoress Preamp which is going nowhere.

Hi,
I use the same combo as you preamp/845 and I just can say that it sounds pretty good.
We compared those blocks against expansive Nagra before buying them, no shame, far much better IMHO.
So if you need juice for your speaker grab a bargain!

Why you don't ask Reinhard to make you two 45 mono's?
