Thanks for the reply. I do not have pictures of the cabinate yet, as they will be made to fit around the TV and speakers (both of which I need to decide upon for measurements). Our Family room is next to the kitchen, so we are going to match the cabinates to the kitchen cabinates (Alder wood). Unfortunately the depth for the speakers will be limited to about 24 inches, and not much width either (maybe 24 inches). My suspicion with the rear ported speakers are that they will not 'work' (versus an entirely enclosed speaker, or front vented?). Similarly, I would want to put the subwoofer in the cabinate as well. I was hoping for a VMPS solution, but my suspicions were that it would not work for this setting but I wanted to know if anyone else has tried (with success).
Thanks,
Deven
