I sold my modded Sony '333 back during the aftermath of my divorce.
I've been living with just a turntable for a while now. Finally decided to do something about it - the
convenience of those little silver disks was just too much.
So, I hit Audiogon and found a nice little AMC cd -8b player, local in Houston, 24bit Burr-browns, single-well, for $120.00. I'll pick it up later today.
Did some more looking and realized that the local Tweeter still had the Phillips SACD-1000 on clearance, for $399 still. They've got one on hold for me. Conveniently, it's on the way to pick up the other player
I think the AMC will be a long-term keeper and backup (especially if/when I get the Phillips modded). Also the AMC has digital coax out and might make a good match with an ART DIO (know anyone who mods these?

)
