Bryston SP2 and Xbass
« on: 12 Jul 2015, 08:21 pm »
I have a Bryston SP2 processor. I like the xbass function for stereo but the LFE channel doesnt seem to change regardless of what I have my main speaker LFE crossover set to. I set the mains to full with the LFE crossover at 40Hz.  But today tried different Crossovers all the way up to 200Hz and Xbass sounds the same.  I even turnrd off the main speakers to make sure. Should Xbass change with changes in the crossover?

Also i just found a great nugget of info in one of the threads I never knew about. With code 060 I can use Xbass in the 2 channel bipass mode. I've had a 1.7 and now a 2.0 for over ten years and never knew about this feature which is what I now use for stereo with my tube modded Transporter.  Where can I find the list of all the codes for the SP2?  I wonder what else I might find useful.

Thanks,

Corbin
