I'm the 2nd owner and I've had them since 2009. Each speaker is two pieces connected by jumper cables. They were designed for each other, so they sound seamless and coherent. Comes with floor spikes, the factory grills, and upgraded jumper cables. I had the jumpers custom made by Guy Hammel of Placette Audio and they are transparent. I've tried 3 different jumper cables and these out shine the others by a long shot.

The left bass module has a bumped corner that is visible in the pics. This was present when I bought them and I was aware of it before I bought it. It is not a big deal to me. The grills are my only complaint with the speaker. They feel cheaply made and the velcro stickers come loose and fall off sometimes when taking the grills off/on. I've tried gluing them back on, but they don't stay put. I think the speakers look better nude anyway. I believe Ty has some upgraded grills with magnets, so if that's important to you, you can talk with him about it.

Did you purchase the bookshelves and the sub in different veneer or did the sun fade out the sub?

Yes different veneers. The monitors are Cherry and the bass modules Maple. These were already configured this way when I bought them. Not sure why the original owner chose different veneers, but I love how it looks!

So what will you be replacing the Linbrook with? Do you need another speaker test/road trip

I should have added that I have seen and heard these fine speakers. The current owner is a super dude and I can't wait to go and hear the replacement.

Right now the 4 ohm has me guessing
