SOLD   SOLD   SOLD

Second owner of these wonderful tubed Monoblocks, bought from a dealer on A'gon.

Naturally, I will give preference to the Buyer that wants to buy BOTH the
Quad Classic PreAmp & the Classic II tubed MonoBlocks.

Shipping Wt and box dimensions TBDed. These are "champagne" colored, but not flashy or over-the-top. They are handsome but understated, IMO.
I've had them about 2 years now as part of a second system. But I am moving now, so am selling my second system.

These mono blocks are remarkably robust in terms of build quality and sound. They are rated at 15 watts per channel, but these are "high amperage" mono blocks, such that they are much more powerful than 15 watts. According to several independent reports, they are able to drive Quad electrostatic speakers. Since I dont have a pair of Quad electrostatics, I couldn't test them. I ran them with a pair of bookshelf speakers with excellent results. Also, they could adequately drive my pair of 4-ohm Dali floorstanding speakers (Helicon 400s), though they couldn't reproduce large symphony sounds properly, which I would expect, due to the large amp-hungry Dali's.

In any case, they are a great match with the Quad (modern) Classic PreAmp, which I am also selling. I could probably give a discount if someone wanted to buy the PreAmp and MonoBlock set.
Note: the last couple images of the amps show 2 blemishes which are hard to see in normal light. There is a small scratch on the lower panel of one of the amps, & a very small ding on the upper transformer metal casing. These are difficult to see unless you are deliberately looking for them, but for full disclosure, the buyer should know about them.

More details:
1. The tubes: 5 tubes for each amp are included in the sale: 2 KT66s, 2 EF86s, 1 5U4GB
2. (Tubes will be shipped separately for safety)
3. The KT66s are a good match for these amps, and all 4 KT66s are cryo'ed (Chinese made, Sino, I believe)
4. The EF86s are Edicron. They might be NOS, but I can't tell for sure.
5. The NOS RCA 5u4GB rectifier tubes sound really great with this setup.

I will split PayPal and shipping fees if the buyer buys the speakers at my asking price.
I have 100% +++ feedback on Agon as user 1graber2. I have sold/bought items on USAudiomart and Audiocircle, I just haven't kept up with the feedback system, since I have used Agon primarily in the past (but that is changing due to their fees and restructuring the last couple years).

thanks
Gary
