Well I finally found the source of the strange sounds.  I was playing CATS.  Broadway recording.



Not so good with other music though.  Now all I got to do is to politely ask Berkeley, my 3 year old tiger,  to move.

Are you casting aspersions on Berkley's sense of pitch?

Those must be Dennis Murphy's Philharmonic 3 cabinets on either side of Berkley, right? (Does Berkley also like to perch on top of the bass cabinet behind the BG Neo8 planar?  If so, does this then contribute to the ambiance and depth of the sound stage?  We have two tuxedo cats.  If I put some treats up there I might be able to get them to stay for single Mahler movement.)

    Where did you plug in the interconnects? Because that might  be expected to generate some strange noises.

HA!  Soooo funny... and also so sad - I had to give up two mates (of 12 and 13 years) to a new home this past November....     I remember many times coming in my apartment and looking/ calling for Qorro (the grey 'mop' licking his tongue at ya!)  when he was young,  only to look up on  top of my entertainment cabinet and finding him staring daggers at me!     Thanks for the memories.
