Couldn't agree with you more! I saw them in 1969 in Alexandria, VA, at a skating rink, as the opening act for Mountain and Jeff Beck. Tull was my favorite of the night with a set that was mostly Stand Up and This Was. Terrific, truly. The band was very cohesive then and it was more Tull as a group than Anderson as the front man. By the time I saw them again in 1972 at Virginia Tech (with Captain Beefheart!), a $4.50 ticket, the show was more Anderson than Tull. Still a very good concert, mostly Aqualung and some Thick, but the stage dramatics and the bombast were in full bloom and a bit off putting. I preferred the Alexandria show.  

Michael, the Tuonares haven't arrived but I'm in the Vapor queue. I'll email Ryan now for an update. And I haven't frgotten you ... I'm still actively listening to the Tempesta/Stiff Breeze shoot-out and having a lot of fun doing so. I'll pm you soon.

Must have been right after/before the Laurel, Md, "Pop" festival that I attended.   :thumb:  Led Zep, Tull, Edwin Hawkins Singers, Johnny Winter and ?, all doing short sets.   DAMN!  That was almost 50 years ago! :o
