A/V-1RS Question
« on: 8 Jun 2015, 03:09 am »
I am building some A/V-1RS's and have a couple of questions.

1) Should I use NoRez in these or just AcustaStuf/polyfill?

2) What about upgrading the crossovers, is it worth it or not?

Neither of these are addressed in the website writeup

Thanks,

Mike

You can use one piece of No Rez on the forward facing panel. You won't need it anywhere else.

For that speaker I'd stick with the stock crossover. It is just right for that application.

Mike,

Danny is correct. I've built several pairs of AV-1RS speakers and all you need is one piece of No-Rez on the forward facing panel. Also, I lightly filled the back half of the cabinet with Acousti-Stuf, but poly fill works well too.
The stock crossover works just fine. No benefit gained by upgrading the crossover.

Thanks Danny and Ron. That's what i thought on the crossover since no upgrade options were offered on the website but I wanted to make sure.

One piece of NoRez it will be
