And yes, I hope they didn't use anything that would actually be desirable to listen to.  This is a good use for those Firestone, Mantovani, 101 Strings, Mitch Miller, and Ferrante & Teicher LPs that would otherwise end up in the landfill.

Hmmm I was wondering what I should do to replace the carpet in my new electronics closet.  Now I wish I would have hung on to the junk LPs I donated to Goodwill.

Yes - I kind of gasped when I saw that.  I haven't had vinyl for over 30 years but I'd find a home for that before putting it in the floor

I think a much better idea is put the LP covers on the wall, its the best part from this format.
The black disc is just black.

I don't really want coasters, I either want 12" album covers or the albums themselves for the floor.

Got a note back from the woman who made the coasters.  She's no longer making them, but said it's not that hard to DIY.  If anyone smells wood burning, it's a cuz I'm thinkin'...

I'm leaning toward making a mat of album covers cut-to-fit my closet space bonded onto a substrate.  I can then urethane them in the shop without worrying about fumes, etc. in the house.  Of course I might just include a few black discs for interest...hmmm
